MIKE GASTI'm 41 years old, born and raised in San Francisco. I'm a proudly mixed heritage Jew with a Jewish dad and gentile mom, and have always loved being part of both communities. I liked attending Hebrew school and Sunday school at my reform synagogue, going to Jewish summer camp, coaching sports during high school at the JCC, and the feeling of belonging and connection in those spaces. I am excited and interested in Berkeley Moshav because of the chance to live in close community, with the benefits of mutual support and fun it brings.
In my professional life, I fundraise, advise, educate, and organize wealthy people towards social justice and supporting movements to build progressive power. I live in Oakland with my wife Rachel. I love my friends, playing basketball, pretending I can still skateboard, and swimming in beautiful places. |
