Steps to Learning More and Reserving a Home

  4. Ready to reserve a home? After being an Explorer for a month or more, you can apply to become a full member and reserve a home in Berkeley Moshav.

​​Become an Explorer
To gain a deeper understanding of Berkeley Moshav and decide first-hand if this is a good fit for you, we invite you to become an Explorer. As an Explorer you submit a $100 fee and then spend up to three months meeting the community members and digging into the details of the project:
  • You have a chance to get to know us, your potential future neighbors.
  • You will learn project details including budget and timeline. 
  • You'll have the opportunity to participate in work meetings and social events, get to know the group, and see how we work together.
  • You'll be assigned a "buddy" to help you navigate the process, answer your questions, and keep you connected.

Become a Full Member
After your first month as an Explorer, you're invited to apply to join us as a Full Member in creating our warm and connected community. There are several reasons to become a Full Member now: you'll get to help shape our design and culture; you'll have seniority in home selection; and you'll receive early investment discounts. Most importantly, by stepping up now, you'll help make Berkeley Moshav happen!

Project Update

Berkeley Moshav's members are developing the community on our well-located, half-acre site at the corner of  Channing Way and San Pablo Avenue. We have completed our architectural design and received planning approvals and building permits from the City of Berkeley. We  expect to start construction in May 2025 and to move in at the beginning of 2027. Nine of our 36 homes remain available, most of which are two-bedroom homes.
